Spider Removal in Bryan College Station

Remove spiders in your home now!
The spider is one of the most feared and despised insects. However, in reality, most spiders are harmless while there are a few such as the brown recluse and black widow, which can cause severe damage if you get bitten. Luckily, most spiders only bite when they are threatened, and their bites are usually less annoying than a mosquito bite. However irrational, the arachnophobia is quite common. Fortunately, you can get rid of spiders easily.

Spiders are predators

Spiders love to eat other insects and bugs that are trapped in their webs. Most spiders have bad vision, but have a strong sense of feeling vibration. When they feel helpless prey trapped in their web, spiders will wrap up their pray and feed. As counter-intuitive as it may seem, having more spiders in your home can actually reduce other insects that live there.

Remove your food

Many insects and parasites are interested in spoiled food. The more bugs that are attracted by the food, the more likely it is that the spiders are not far behind. Place all disposed fruits in a closed container and dispose of your garbage regularly.

Tips & Tricks for Getting Rid of Spiders

Spiders and drains

Washing a live spider down the drain with running water does not usually work. Spiders curl up into a ball and create an air pocket until the water flow slows down or stops. Then they climb right out of the sink.

Destroying the web does not work

Cobweb removal does not get rid of spiders unless you take the spider with it at the same time. Cobwebs are set up where there is a high volume of prey in the area. If you do not get the spider quickly, it will build other webs in the same place.

Home remedies
Like humans, spiders despise certain things. Washing windows with ammonia seems to repel spiders from that surface. Spiders also avoid the scent of cedar chips and eucalyptus leaves. Thus, sprinkling these around your house will keep the spiders away and give you a very pleasant smell.

If you can't get rid of the spider

Spiders are beneficial creatures as they eat other harmful insects. However, people are afraid of spiders and hate them more than most other pests in their homes. You could get rid of spiders by simply removing other insects and bugs from your home, which can be achieved by eliminating spoiled food and garbage, as well as exterminating other insects in the home. Check dark damp places for spiders, such as under cardboard or in your cabinets. Should you need help fighting your eight-legged enemies, give BioGuard Pest Solutions a call at
